For a journey not a vacation
A companion is what the bosom yearns for
A unique institution, a bondage that’s rampant
For reasons unfair
Rugged & smooth
Sunshine & rain
Thunderous & Calm
Pungent & Sweet
Caring & Ignoring – Rainbow indeed
Sacrifice of one, is way higher
I admit, cannot deny
Remembered or reminded, things do not last
Adjustments galore, understanding it takes,
When divided by ego, of sacrifice or care
It snaps like a thread, it is not rare
Clay when muggy, needs utmost care
One dent, one blow, one jolt, it cannot bear
Burnt in fire of commitment and pledge
Not frail as clay, no more it is
But brick of understanding, comprehension and strength
No goal, no voyage, no vision to take you there
Unless an association as light as dew in thin air
Lumbering if accomplice, rather not have
Company if unwanted, it’s a twinge u rather not yank
Alike when goal, together they stear
Maneuver like tracks, co-extending all way
Essentials of marriage, rules u may
Compromise without reason
Compromise without return
Compromise with Love, I say
Identity nor morphed, nor stark as night and day
Beauty is when, blended as spring of summer and rain
Respect not reverence
Consideration not care
Appreciation not adoration
Acknowledgement and recognition till you get there
Dash in love, shallow it shall stay
Overtime as it happens its there to stay
Alluring, appealing and charming
Delicately beautiful, as a lily
In the lake, marriage can be
A soul that’s pure,
That’s complete with you
Is all that you need
